Our Story

How it all Started

How its going

T’s Removals began six years ago with nothing more than determination, hustle, and a willingness to take a chance.

At the time, T was working for Amazon, hiring a van through the company to complete deliveries. That van didn’t just represent a job, it became an opportunity. While out on deliveries, T noticed something others might overlook: people needed help. Gardens full of rubbish, items needing cleared, small jobs that no one else was stepping in to do.

So he stepped in.

What started as clearing rubbish from gardens quickly grew into helping people transport items. T created simple flyers and business cards, handing them out during his delivery rounds. He called himself a home removals specialist, learning as he went, figuring things out in real time, and building confidence with every job. It was a classic case of backing yourself, even before you feel fully ready. Or as T says, “Fake it till you make it.”

Then came the turning point.

One day, a customer called in a panic. Their removals company had let them down, and they urgently needed help moving house. T was in the middle of his Amazon deliveries but told them he would just finish another job and come straight over.

He didn’t have another job.

He didn’t have a team.

But he showed up anyway.

Rushing to finish his deliveries, T made it to the house by 3pm. It was a full three bedroom move, a massive task for one person. Thinking quickly, he told the customer his “worker” had to go home sick. Without hesitation, the customer replied, “No problem, I’ll help.”

And that’s exactly what happened.

Together, they worked into the early hours of the morning, lifting, loading, and unloading. Six van loads back and forth until the job was done at around 1 am. It was a long, exhausting day, but everything was moved safely and securely.

When it came time to pay, T quoted his price. The customer refused.

Instead, they handed him an envelope containing £900, the original amount quoted by the company that had let them down.

That moment changed everything.

That was the true beginning of T’s Removals & Storage.

From there, T invested £1,500 into his first van and made a bold decision, leaving Amazon to go all in on his own business. No safety net, just belief and hard work.

Fast forward six years, and that one man operation has grown into a thriving company with a fleet of seven vans, a dedicated team of ten staff, and a business partner, Keilan, who shares the same vision and ambition.

Together, they are building something bigger than just a removals company.

They are building a reputation.

They are building trust.

And they are building towards a clear goal:

To become the largest removals company in Northern Ireland.

This is only the beginning.

To Now

When Keilan came

Keilan’s journey with T’s Removals began in June 2021, when T carried out a house clearance at his mum’s property after she had moved. To this day, they both still believe the job was massively underpriced.

At the time, Keilan was working as an Operations Manager for a local leisure company. During that first meeting, he said to T that if he ever needed an extra pair of hands, to give him a shout.

Thankfully, he did.

The very next week, Keilan was out on jobs. Throughout that summer, he worked at least one day a week alongside his full time role, helping with house moves, single item jobs, and clearances. Even at that early stage, it was clear the business had real potential.

As demand continued to grow, T needed support managing the day to day operations. In September 2021, Keilan officially joined the business as Assistant Manager.

Despite moving into what is typically a quieter period in autumn and winter, the business did not slow down. It accelerated. Together, they refined their service, studied the best operators in the industry, and reinvested everything back into the business. The team began to grow, and a strong reputation started to build across Northern Ireland.

Alongside this, Keilan was studying a Master’s degree in Software Development at Queen’s University and had secured a graduate role starting in September 2022.

Then in March 2022, everything changed.

Late one Friday night, T knocked on Keilan’s door.

T had always planned to travel to New Zealand. Those plans had been paused due to COVID, which ultimately led him to start the business. Now, he was ready to go. Before leaving, he offered Keilan an ownership position in T’s Removals & Storage.

It did not take long to decide.

Keilan turned down his software career and committed fully to the business.

For the next two and a half years, he managed the day to day operations while T travelled, with T continuing to support the business through marketing and its online presence. Even from opposite sides of the world, the business continued to grow.

When the band got back together

T returned from in NZ in April 2025 & what followed took the business to another level.

From day one of being back, T returned with clear intent and high standards. There was no easing in. The focus quickly shifted from keeping up with demand to building a structured, scalable, and professional operation.

Every part of the business was tightened.

Systems improved.

Standards increased.

Expectations rose across the entire team.

Together, they refined not only how the business operated, but how it was approached strategically.

Investment increased across the board, from vehicles and equipment to branding and, most importantly, people. A team was built that could be trusted to represent the business properly on every job. Training, consistency, and customer experience became non negotiable.

At the same time, growth accelerated.

More jobs.

Larger moves.

Long distance work.

A stronger online presence.

Everything began to compound.

What had once been a growing business developed into a serious operation.

In a relatively short period of time, T’s Removals & Storage expanded to seven vehicles on the road, secured a dedicated storage facility, and built a team of ten, all while maintaining the high standards that built the company’s reputation.

The biggest shift, however, was how effectively the partnership operated.

With Keilan leading day to day operations and T focusing on sales, marketing, and growth, the business found a rhythm that allowed it to scale rapidly.

Clear roles.

Shared standards.

One vision.

And they are still pushing forward.

Because for them, this is not the end goal. It is only the beginning of what T’s Removals & Storage is set to become.
